The Bus Stop Stallions are excited to be a part of the iMatter March at Waterloo Park on Sunday May 8 12-1:30. 

On mother's day, May 8, children around the world will march against global warming. Lets help these young people send a message to our leaders that they MATTER, and we care about their futures!

Mardi Gras On Red River w/ Budos Band and Bus Stop Stallions!

On March 5th Austin will experience a huge taste of New Orleans with the celebration of Mardi Gras 2011! Knuckle Rumbler and Proper Entertainment are putting together an incredible day of activities, bands, and crawfish.

We are taking over STUBB'S BBQ (BOTH INDOOR AND OUTDOOR STAGES) from noon until 2am! Both stages will be filled with the sounds of soul, jazz, zydeco, brass, and roots reggae. The smells and tastes of crawfish, King Cakes, and red beans & rice will fill the air.

Advance Tickets are only $10 and you should nab up this deal while you can still stand. There will be beads. Plenty of beads.

IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER STALLIONS MUSIC WEEKEND!!!

That's right folks the Stallions are hitting the road again for another of their infamous MUSIC WEEKENDS!! We will be piling into our legendary transport, known as Crosswinds by those worthy enough to have had their buttocks caressed by her supple captain's chairs.

1st up we get the weekend started early. Stallions play Thursday night live at Executive Surf Club, Corpus Christi's top spot for drinks and live entertainment.

Friday night we will be back in Austin at Jovita's for a semi-formal night with The J Wesley Haynes Trio & the fabulous Vendetta Big Band. Come out dressed to impress and ready to dance.

We close out Stallions Music Weekend on Saturday in the SATX at Rebar! We're excited to play Rebar. We haven't been out to San Antonio in a minute so we'd love to see all of you come on out to party.

Stallions back on the Road!

The Stallions are hitting the road this weekend, bringing our tunes to 2 music festivals.

1st up, Thurday 10/21/2010 we head to Bryan,TX for the 2010 Rock the Republic Festival.
We play at 9:15 at Stafford Main St (106 S Main St)

About Rock The Republic
This is the second year of the breakout event that features the best emerging bands, poets, and visual artists from across the “republic” of Texas. (Hence the name Rock The Republic) Our event fuses the underground culture of Texas “slam poetry” with the diversity of the Texas music scene. Add amazing art installations, exhibits, and “spectacles” that have never been seen before and you have Rock The Republic 2010. Rock The Republic 2010 is “A Spectacle of Sight and Sound.” Think of us as the next evolution of the music and arts festival experience.

Then Friday 10/22/2010 we head out to Marfa for the Marfa Sounds Music Festival. Showtime is 10PM. Various online sites list the venue as Padre's Marfa. The venue has been changed to Planet Marfa

Marfa Sounds Music Festival will be October 22-24, 2010 in Marfa, Texas. This weekend of music will bring a mix of several genres that are sure to get everyone up and dancing under the stars (and full moon). Big Show at Momo's Mar 13 Midnight

Hey everybody! It's just about time to see a stallions show isn't it? We are all poised and ready to rock. We have a couple new songs too that you just must hear. It's finally here! We are happy to announce the latest Bus Stop Stallions album, Don't Block It, is available for purchase.

Don't Block It was recorded over several months in 2009 in Chris Varteressian's Stallions Studio in Austin, TX.

Bus Stop Stallions are high-energy funk soul rock fusion complete with horns. A sound that has been described as the positive result of a street brawl between George Clinton & P-Funk, Sly and the Family Stone, with a few punches thrown in by the Godfather of Soul himself.

Special thanks goes out to all the outstanding guest musicians on this album, including Nathan Peoples (tenor sax), Morgan Anderson and Casey McAuliffe (backup vocals.)
